Our story begins in Buhen during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut. Little Steps, a ten-year-old Egyptian boy is ready to embark on the Quest for the 3 Symbols joined by his friends – Red Brick, Axiom and Lapis.
The Quest for the First Symbol, the Staff, begins at Karnak temple, where Little Steps and his friends meet Safe Space and learn to face their fears.
From Karnak the friends head north to Dendera to help the farmer build a new well in exchange for passage by Nile to Abusir.
The conclusion of part one of the Quest takes place in Abusir, the location of the School of Learning, after a long Nile ride north from Dendera. In the closing scene Little Steps meets Pharaoh Hatshepsut and learns whether he has been successful in the Quest for the Staff.
