The Author
Win Real Talisman
The author started writing at a young age with lyrics, haiku and poetry his specialty and in 1997 was awarded International Poet of Merit. Little Steps made his first appearance in the author’s imagination in 2000 whilst studying for his masters at Cornell, but it was not until 2021 that the author was finally able to embark on the adventure to give birth to “Little Steps and the Quest for the 3 Symbols”.

Rula Lenska
Rula Lenska, the eldest daughter of a Polish Countess, is a veteran English actress of stage, film and television whose career spans many decades. With her distinctive red hair, she is best known in the U.S. for the infamous Alberto V05 commercials. She is no stranger to storytelling, having voiced hundreds of documentaries and audio books and was delighted to join the Talisman circle and add her own magic to the narration of Little Steps & the Quest for the 3 Symbols, a tale that she fell in love with instantly. Her tv credits include both Eastenders and Coronation Street, but her big career break came in the British TV series Rock Follies.

Lorra Ley (b. 1991, Transnistria, Moldova) is a hybrid artist based in the Moldovan countryside. Raised in Germany, she weaves her Slavic heritage, love for mythology, and background in performance into introspective, dreamlike works. Her art, spanning painting, photography, and poetry, serves as a portal between worlds, exploring themes of the divine, transformation, and the liminal. Deeply connected to nature, she seeks to create pieces that resonate on a soul level, inviting viewers into quiet realms of wonder and reflection.

Win Real Talisman is an anagram of my full name. I was really intrigued by what it meant. In the end I elected to give it meaning by choosing to use it as my author’s name. My goal was to win the hearts and imagination of every reader, in other words, to win the real talisman
I wanted to create a symbol based on geometric shapes and came up with the idea of converting the letters in Win Real Talisman to sides, so that the 3 letters of Win became the triangle, the 4 letters of Real the square and the eight letters of Talisman the octagon. With the positioning of the components and adding different colour it reminds me of the black basalt steps leading up to the Great Pyramid of Giza in its original white Tura limestone casing stones.
Little Steps is a 10 year old Egyptian boy in the time of Pharaoh Hatshepsut and he is on the quest for the 3 symbols. He is joined on his adventure by his 3 extraordinary friends: Red Brick, the Giant; Axiom, the Centaur and Lapis, the Vulture.
